Compass Minerals announces Allen Dupree as the company’s new senior vice president, environment, health, safety and security (EHS&S).

Leading the company’s global EHS&S team, Dupree will be responsible for implementing EHS&S programs and strategies, defining safety performance metrics and improvement targets, and ensuring environmental stewardship.  

He joins Compass Minerals with more than 30 years of experience in mining, operations and safety. Most recently, he led safety and health processes as senior vice president, safety and health at Contura Energy in Bristol, Tennessee. Prior to that, Dupree served in senior management positions in operations and safety at Alpha Natural Resources.

Dupree received his Bachelor of Science in mining engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and completed executive education at the University of Virginia. He is the past chairman of the International Mines Rescue Body.
