Jeff Cathey

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Jeff Cathey joined Compass Minerals in December 2023 as chief accounting officer. In June 2024, he was named chief financial officer and is responsible for all aspects of financial management, including accounting, reporting, tax, internal audit, treasury, financial planning and analysis, and investor relations.

Mr. Cathey brings over 15 years of financial leadership experience in public and private companies to his new role. Before joining Compass Minerals, he spent 10 years in positions of growing responsibility at Crestwood Equity Partners LP. Previously, he held roles at Shamrock Trading Corporation and Ernst & Young LLP.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree in both finance and accounting and a Master of Science degree in accounting from Kansas State University. Mr. Cathey is also a certified public accountant and completed executive leadership training at Vanderbilt University.
