New Senior Vice President, Salt Named

Anthony Sepich will join Compass Minerals (NYSE:CMP) as senior vice president, salt, effective November 30, 2016. Sepich will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that maximize the earnings and operational efficiency of the company’s salt business.

“Anthony is a proven leader with extensive commodity management experience, which will be a great asset as we continue to capitalize on our salt division’s strengths,” said Fran Malecha, president and CEO of Compass Minerals. “Anthony has a solid track record of profit growth in the commodities industry, transforming corporate vision into actionable plans, and building relationships between customers, suppliers and strategic partners.”

Sepich comes to Compass Minerals from Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM), where he has spent almost 20 years, most recently as president of ADM Corn Europe, establishing ADM’s first wholly owned starch footprint in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Prior to this position, Sepich was primarily focused in ADM’s cocoa division, where he held positions in risk management and sales, including vice president of sales.

Sepich holds a Masters in Science in agribusiness economics and a Bachelors of Arts in biological science from Southern Illinois University.

Bob Miller, senior vice president, salt, will remain in this position until November 30, 2016 and then continue with the company as a senior advisor.
