Metals & Mining Review magazine has honored Compass Minerals President and CEO Kevin S. Crutchfield with the Top 10 CEOs in Mining Industry 2023 award.

Joining nine other mining executives on this year’s list, the award recognizes industry leaders who have made technology and process improvements in a seamless manner to help move the mining industry forward.

Crutchfield is a 30-year veteran of the mining industry with extensive technical, operating and executive leadership experience. He is also highly experienced as a board director, with more than 20 years of service in public boardrooms, including eight as an independent director.

Acknowledging the honor, Crutchfield also recognized that any success he has experienced is shared with the strong teams of talented individuals he has had the opportunity to lead throughout his career.

“Successful leaders need to bring to the table more than just technical or deep subject matter expertise,” shared Crutchfield. “They need to value people, keenly understand the benefits of collaboration and be able to operate as part of a team.”
