For the second year in a row, Do it Best Corp., the United States’ second largest hardware co-op, named Compass Minerals “Vendor of the Year” in the lawn and garden category. The honor recognizes the exceptional customer service and high-quality deicing products provided by the company’s salt division.

“Do it Best Corp. gives this honor only to suppliers that exceed service and performance expectations,” said Rob Peterson, business director – product group management. “We’re committed to delivering where and when it matters to help keep people safe, and we’re proud to be recognized again this year for that commitment.”

Compass Minerals supplies Fort Wayne, Indiana, based Do it Best Corp. with a broad line of deicers, from economical rock salt to premium magnesium chloride-based products that are more environmentally friendly and safer for pets. Compass Minerals was named “Vendor of the Year” in the lawn and garden category in 2014, 2011, 2008 and 2004. In 2014, Compass Minerals was named “Vendor of the Year” for supply chain excellence from Do it Best Corp.

Compass Minerals also supplies water conditioning, pool and agricultural products to Do it Best Corp.
