Compass Minerals has promoted Gary Sinclair to managing director, U.K. operations. He will be responsible for leading all of the company’s operations in the U.K., specifically Winsford salt mine and DeepStore records management.  

Sinclair will be charged with driving forward safe and responsible practices, process efficiencies and continuous operational improvements. His experience in developing and embedding best practices at both the strategic and operational level will help guide safe production to meet customer needs in the U.K.

He joined Compass Minerals in 2009 and has held positions of increasing responsibility at the company. Most recently, Sinclair served as operations director for Compass Minerals’ U.K. operations. Prior to joining the company, he was head of engineering at Building Adhesives Ltd. He brings more than four decades of engineering and operations management experience to his new role.

Sinclair received a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Staffordshire University and a Master of Business Administration from Keele University, both in Staffordshire, England.
