Compass Minerals is Presenting Sponsor of the Big 12 Basketball Food Drive

Compass Minerals is returning for its fourth year as presenting sponsor of the Big 12 Basketball Food Drive benefiting Harvesters—The Community Food Network.

Every dollar donated to the Big 12 Basketball Food Drive helps provide two meals and assists in the fight against hunger. As it has since the inception of the Food Drive, Compass Minerals will be matching each donation up to a total of $10,000.

“At Compass Minerals, our aim is to make sure our presence benefits those around us,” said Kevin S. Crutchfield, president and CEO. “Actively engaging with the communities where our employees live and work is one way we can make an impact. Helping in the fight against hunger through this collaboration with the Big 12 and Harvesters is an honor for Compass Minerals.”

Between now and through March 12, Big 12 fans are encouraged to donate securely online via harvesters.org/Big12FoodDrive. When fans reach the donation page, they can select their favorite team and pledge support. The team’s fan base that raises the most money for Harvesters will be recognized following the Conference Basketball Championships. Every fan who donates will be entered to win tickets to the men’s or women’s tournament or autographed memorabilia from their favorite Big 12 basketball coach.

All donations received during the tournament will support Harvesters, a regional food bank that provides food and related household products to food pantries, community kitchens and shelters. The organization also offers education programs to increase community awareness of hunger and teach about good nutrition.

The 2023 Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship will be held at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, March 8-11. The Phillips 66 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Championship will be held at Municipal Auditorium, March 9-12.
