Compass Minerals Appoints Rob Fisher as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Rob Fisher has been named senior vice president and chief information officer. Fisher has been with the company for two years serving as vice president, information technology.

“Since joining our company, Rob has significantly retooled our IT function to better align with the needs of the company,” said Kevin Crutchfield, president and CEO. “He has successfully positioned his team to take a service-oriented, solution-focused approach to our IT challenges, while improving safeguards against potential cybersecurity risks and providing the necessary vision to craft a strategic digital roadmap for Compass Minerals.”

In his new role, Fisher will join the company’s senior management team and will be responsible for the design and implementation of an enterprise-wide technology operating model, ensure the organization is leveraging data and analytics effectively, and continue to oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department as a strategic partner to other functions.

Fisher has more than 20 years of experience in various technical and technology leadership roles, bringing experience in maximizing technology investments and providing strategic oversight for all aspects of the IT function. In addition to his corporate career, Fisher spent six years as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Kansas, where he created and taught a graduate course on IT controls and risk assessment.

He earned his Bachelor of Management Science in finance from State University of New York at Geneseo and his Master of Accounting and Information Systems from the University of Kansas. Fisher is also a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Information Technology Professional.
