Brandon Risner has been named Compass Minerals’ vice president, operations, Ogden and C&I, effective Aug. 16, 2024.

Risner will be responsible for leading Ogden’s operations and strategy. He will also maintain his leadership of our North American Consumer and Industrial (C&I) processing and packaging plants. He brings deep experience with diverse manufacturing processes and a strong focus on safety, quality, continuous improvement, culture and productivity.

For nearly four years, Risner has served as vice president, manufacturing, at the company. During his time in that role, he has helped increase workforce engagement, create efficiencies and improve operational performance across the processing and packaging plants. He has nearly 25 years of mining operations and material processing experience with a record of accomplishments in advancing operations.

Risner received a Bachelor of Science in mine engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla (now Missouri University of Science and Technology) and a Master of Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
