Compass Minerals Announces Promotions
Compass Minerals has promoted two employees to director-level positions.
Geoff Brown has been named director of corporate quality assurance. Brown joined Compass Minerals in 2008 as a developmental scientist and most recently was manager of research and development. In this role, he will provide oversight of product requirements, metrics, sales support and regulatory requirements across all functional units, manufacturing plants and product lines. Brown has a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in microbiology, and more than 25 years of industrial research and development experience.
Rob Deacon has been promoted to director, sales, North America – West, in the plant nutrition division. Deacon has been with Compass Minerals since early 2015 as a field sales manager in the southwest. Responsibilities of this role include sales planning, sales resource management, and management of sales staff, customer accounts and sales activities in the geography. Deacon has more than 30 years of experience in the agriculture industry and has a bachelor’s degree from the University of British Columbia.
