Compass Minerals has named Logan Bateman as the company’s new vice president, human resources, North America operations and labor relations.

Bateman will be responsible for building organizational capabilities to execute key people processes throughout our mining and manufacturing facilities. He will lead efforts to maintain a collaborative relationship with the union workforce, provide coaching and development opportunities, and drive continuous improvement across the organization to enhance the employee experience.

He joins the company with a decade of experience leading all facets of human resources within the mining industry. Most recently, he served as vice president, human resources at Contura Energy in Bristol, Tennessee.

Bateman received his Bachelor of Science in marketing and human resources management from Virginia Tech.
