CHIEF INFORMATION AND TRANSFORMATION OFFICER
Rob Fisher joined Compass Minerals as vice president, information technology in October 2018, before being named senior vice president and chief information officer in September 2020. In July 2021, he transitioned to an expanded role as chief information and transformation officer. In this role, Mr. Fisher leads the overall enterprise technology strategy and IT operations, and is responsible for driving improvements through the company’s enterprise-wide optimization effort. His responsibilities include business process and operational improvements, data and analytics strategy, digital initiatives and technology support, and the company’s cybersecurity program.
Mr. Fisher has more than 20 years of experience in various technical and technology leadership roles. Before joining Compass Minerals, he spent 15 years at Kansas City Life Insurance, a national financial services company in various positions of increasing responsibility, including vice president of information technology. Previous experience also includes development of data infrastructure and analytics strategies for a telecommunications company and as a management consultant focused on leveraging technology to improve and automate business processes.
Additionally, Mr. Fisher spent six years as an adjunct professor at the University of Kansas, where he created and taught a graduate level course on IT controls and risk assessment.
Mr. Fisher has a Bachelor of Management Science in finance from the State University of New York at Geneseo and a Master of Accounting and Information Systems from the University of Kansas. He also is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Information Technology Professional.
