Historical Film Spotlights Winsford Mine

In the 1940s, a series of educational films about the mining industry was produced. One of those films focused on activities at our Winsford Mine in the U.K.

Today, those films are available on British Pathe, an online newsreel archive.

This brief film captures the mining in action, and features footage of the cavernous, dark mine, and workers drilling, then blasting with explosives. Many other brief scenes capture the historical life of a miner during this era.
