Compass Minerals Celebrates International Women’s Day

Compass Minerals marked International Women’s Day with its second annual celebration, broadcasted from the company’s headquarters.

“As a company and leadership team, we are focused on “Being Bold for Change” as we fulfill our commitment to creating a diverse, inclusive and high performing company where all employees feel included and empowered,” said Diana Toman, senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary.

As part of the event, the first employee resource group, Women’s LINK, was introduced. LINK (Leading, Inspiring, Networking and Knowing) groups will serve to foster diversity, inclusion and employee development at Compass Minerals.

The company hosted Robin Sterneck, a seasoned executive and board director, at the event. Robin discussed the importance of resource groups, having co-founded two major international women’s networks, one of which has been in practice for 19 years.

“Resource groups provide opportunities to practice project management, collaboration and communication, skills that all employees need to be successful in their careers,” Robin shared. “Resource groups are the infrastructure, in tandem with management and HR, that builds tomorrow’s leaders.”

Employees were challenged to help create a more gender-inclusive world and “Be Bold for Change” to help make Compass Minerals a high-performing and inclusive work environment for all employees.
